Mila Schwartz is Professor in Language and Education and a Vice-rector for Research in Oranim Academic College of Education (Israel). Her research interests include studying language policy and models of early bilingual education; linguistic, cognitive, and socio-cultural development of early sequential bilinguals/multilinguals; family language policy; and bilingual teachers' language-conducive strategies and pedagogical development. In this research her focus is on two unique populations: second generation Russian-Hebrew speaking immigrants from the former Soviet Union and Arabic and Hebrew-speaking children enrolled in bilingual bi-national education in Israel.

Prof. Schwartz is an Academic Adviser of the Hand in Hand: Center for Jewish-Arab Education and the Russian-Hebrew-speaking bilingual preschools in Israel. She has published widely in the field of applied linguistics. Her recent books include: 21st Century Preschool Bilingual Education; Preschool Bilingual Education: Agency in Interactions between Children, Teachers, and Parents. Her other publications have appeared in leading academic journals, such as International Journal of Bilingualism and Bilingual Education; Journal of Multilingual and Multicultural Development; Linguistics and Education; Language, Culture and Curriculum, Teaching and Teacher Education, Applied Linguistic Review etc.

לילך לב ארי היא פרופסורית, דיקנית הפקולטה ללימודים מתקדמים ומרצה במספר חוגים ותכניות במכללת אורנים. תחומי המחקר שלה כוללים הגירה אנושית, יהדות זמננו, זהות אתנית ומפגשים בין-תרבותיים, מיעוטים אתניים ושילובם, תירבות ורב-תרבותיות. לב ארי פרסמה את הספרים הבאים:

מרצה בכירה במכללת אורנים

מלמדת קורסים מגוונים העוסקים בהוראת מתמטיקה לתלמידי היסודי והעל יסודי בתוכניות בתואר הראשון: חינוך מתמטי, הסבה לחינוך מיוחד, חינוך מיוחד. ובתואר השני בתוכניות להוראת מתמטיקה בבית הספר היסודי והוראת מתמטיקה ומדעים בעל יסודי.

כיהנה כמורה למתמטיקה בבית ספר על יסודי לאורך 27 שנים ובתפקידי ניהול, בניהם כמנהלת קריית חינוך כשני עשורים. כיהנה כמדריכה מחוזית ולהוראת מתמטיקה לבית הספר העל יסודי לתלמידי קצה מטעם הפיקוח על הוראת המתמטיקה במשרד החינוך.

סיימה תואר שני בהצטיינות בהוראת מתמטיקה אוניברסיטת חיפה שכלל כתיבת תזה בנושא: "התפתחות מומחיות של מנחות למתמטיקה תוך כדי הנחיית מורים" ותואר שלישי בפקולטה לחינוך מדע וטכנולוגיה בטכניון בנושא: טיפוח מיומנויות לפתרון בעיות בקרב תלמידות תיכון "חלשות" במתמטיקה.

השתלמה בלימודי פוסט דוקטורט בטכניון, ובפקולטה לחינוך והוראה באוניברסיטת חיפה, וריכזה את המחקר הבין מוסדי בישראל בנושא פרקטיקות ליבה בהכשרת מורים בישראל מטעם המרכז לחקר הכשרת ולמידת מורים באוניברסיטה העברית.

מכהנת כיועצת אקדמית לפרויקט ארצי "ידידות טורונטו" לקידום למידת מתמטיקה בקרב תלמידי פריפריה.

תחומי מחקר: פרקטיקות להכשרת מורים, קידום פתרון בעיות מתמטיות בקרב אוכלוסיות מגוונות של תלמידים ומורים, חיבור בעיות מתמטיות למטרות פדגוגיות, התפתחות מקצועית של מורים ומורי מורים, קידום ופיתוח חשיבה מתמטית בקרב תלמידים חלשים, נוירופדגוגיה והוראת מתמטיקה, שילוב כלים טכנולוגים בהוראת מתמטיקה.

Dr. Janina Kahn-Horwitz

is a senior lecturer and leader of the English Foreign Language Literacy Acquisition research group at Oranim College of Education.
She is vice-rector for international outreach at Oranim International. She teaches in the undergraduate English Language and Literature Department as well as the graduate M.Ed. Language Learning program at Oranim College. Her research interests include individual differences in language learning, English as a foreign language reading and spelling development, the cross-linguistic impact of first language and literacy on English, and teacher knowledge of English linguistic components.

Marlene Saban

is leader of the English Foreign Language team at the Hebrew Reali School and currently a doctoral student at the University of Cologne, Germany in conjunction with Oranim College of Education. She has established an EFL learning disabilities program as well as a program for native speakers at her school. Her research interests include the efficacy of gamification in teaching literacy using digital platforms with a SEL (social emotional learning) approach. She has a B.A. from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and an M.Ed. from Oranim College.
