Larissa Aronin is one of the leading international scholars in the field of bilingualism, multilingualism and language teaching. Her most significant contributions to the field of applied linguistics are the extension of traditional understandings of multilingualism introducing the concepts and theories of 'the new linguistic dispensation', 'Dominant Language Constellations(DLC)', 'the philosophy of multilingualism', and 'the Material Culture of Multilingualism'.
So far, Larissa Aronin authored and co-authored 10 books. Among them 'Multilingualism" 2012 (John Benjamins); "Twelve Lectures on Multilingualism" 2019 (Multilingual Matters); three volumes on DLC in 2020, 2021 and 2023 (Springer) and the textbook on Multilingualism titled " An Advanced Guide to Multilingualism" 2022, published by Edinburgh University Press.
Prof. Aronin is a member of editorial boards of international refereed journals, evaluates the book and article manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals with Q1. She is an International external expert and evaluator for several international research foundations.
Larissa Aronin hold visiting and guest professorships at the universities in Poland, Germany, Ireland, Russia and also at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Trinity College, Dublin. She gives plenary and keynote talks and invited workshops across Europe.
Prof. Aronin teaches courses on multilingualism, sociolinguistics and innovative topics in applied linguistics abroad: at the University of Silesia (2023), at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (2021), Cherepovetz State University (2013) and Technical University of Darmstadt (2016).
